This course is suitable for students that have already solid skills in drawing and painting and want to experience the thrills of an animated project.
Students will refine their skills in a collaborative animation project while learning how to keep up with a schedule and to work together with their teammates towards a common goal.
With the skills acquired during this course, students will have a better idea of how an animation film pipeline functions and will be able to integrate future projects with more ease.
The first month will be mainly dedicated to the preproduction aspect of the project. Students will:
- Set the team structure
- Prepare mood boards and exchange ideas in collaboration with the 2d animation class
- Design the visuals of the film: Character Design, Prop Design, Background Design, Still frames
The second month will be mainly dedicated to the production aspect of the project. Students will:
- Create the color script
- Create background layouts
- Create character layouts
The third and final month will be mostly dedicated to the finalization of the project. This includes:
- Character coloring
- Background coloring
- Final touches
