As a minority-owned motion design studio, they work with award-winning creatives who embody a diverse range of human experience. Combined with our Inclusive Motion Design (InMoDe™) approach, their international team is creating a paradigm shift in the industry; one in which diversity in gender, race, ability, culture, and sexuality are represented with authenticity, respect, and compassion.

Studio Projects:

-Meta | Facebook & Instagram – Journey to Greatness (spot):
Meta came to BIEN to tell a story that shows an athlete’s emotional journey their triumphs and their struggles as they train, how they use Facebook and Instagram to connect with other athletes, and how their dedication inspires the next generation of athletes.

-Instagram – Eye on the Ball:
With 2.5 billion followers, cricket is the world’s second-most popular sport. BIEN were given the opportunity to partner with DEPT and Instagram to celebrate such a widely loved game for the 2023 Men’s World Cup being hosted in India. The goal was to use the cricket ball to guide the viewer through the story, encompassing different aspects of the game, including professional matches, gully cricket (aka street cricket), coaching, and cheering on the team. All the while focusing on how Instagram helps people share their stories.

-Paralympics – Wheelchair Basketball:
Originally conceived as part of the studio's “Make it BIEN” internal project series, they decided to pitch it to the Paralympics and they loved it. The inspiration for this animation came from the studio's desire to give Paralympic sports the same polished treatment that mainstream sports enjoy. To achieve this, they went for a sleight-of-hand visual setup. Then they surprise viewers with a big reveal that shows wheelchair basketball players have the same energy, strength, and spirit as NBA players.
