Job Title: Animator – Music Video (Project-Based)
Project: “Power” – A Music Video by Piya
Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Duration: Approx. 6-8 weeks
Location: Remote

🎬 About the Project:
The project is about creating a visually powerful and emotionally resonant music video for the original Hindi song “Power” — a motivational anthem blending themes of resilience, spiritual strength, and self-belief. The video will explore duality through two versions of the artist:
A real, powerful self (live-action),
And a sad, animated self reflecting inner struggles.
Both worlds gradually merge as the story progresses — ending in an empowering rebirth moment.
✨ What They’re Looking For:
They’re seeking a creative, emotionally intuitive Animator who can:
- Design and animate a 2D character that resembles the artist (style open: anime, sketch, surreal, etc.).
- Express emotions like sadness, hesitation, awakening, and empowerment through animated storytelling.
- Integrate animation with live-action footage (working closely with their video editor/director)
- Create scene transitions and match the rhythm/energy of the song.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an animated version of the artist (based on photos/references).
- Animate 6–8 story-based scenes (approx. 2.5 mins of total animated screen time).
- Match animated character movements/emotions with specific lyrics and cues.
- Collaborate on scene compositing if needed (split screen, mirror effects, overlays).
- Deliver high-quality animations in HD format, compatible with Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve.

Requirements
- Are passionate about music, emotion-driven visuals, and storytelling
- Have strong experience with After Effects, Toon Boom, Spine, Blender (2D), or similar
- Can translate lyrics and musical tone into symbolic or expressive visuals
- Have a strong portfolio of animated shorts, music videos, or concept work
- Understand syncing visuals to tempo and beats
- Bonus points: Experience working with Indian music or Bollywood-inspired visuals
- Bonus points: Familiarity with motion graphics, kinetic typography, or VFX integration
- Bonus points: Fluency in Hindi or understanding lyrical emotion in Indian music
