Art&Graft is a design and animation studio based in Bankside, a home to a diverse international group that have honed their craft across the globe; a foundry for co–creation, joint–exploration and long–term friendships. an expert team of design and motion specialists dedicated to making every brand they work with move with beauty and intent.

Their studio is an industrial building steeped in creative history, its walls still bearing the signatures of its craftsmen’s past. Starting as a coppersmith’s workshop at the turn of the century before being transformed and equipped for the modern era.



Studio Projects:

Proto:
Proto, a design collective who came together in 2020 in response to a lack of consumer-led trainer designs, were looking to launch their visionary first trainer ‘The Iris-D’; the first completely biodegradable trainer produced domestically in the Americas, setting the precedent for Proto’s sustainable production model. Art&Graft created a stunning dream sequence which breathed life into the Iris-D — both its floral namesake and the shoe. The film drew on anime influences to demonstrate the eco-conscious production of the Iris-D (constructed from 100% recyclable materials), emerging from a dreamlike factory of the future, in perfect harmony with nature.

Coffee Run:
The morning commute, the chaos of London, an intern’s struggle captured in an infinite loop, endless details, a perfect union across different dimensions. Coffee Run is the culmination of a studio Sparks collaboration across 2D and 3D animation, celebrating the versatility of Art&Graft’s creative team.

Asics GEL-saga:
A 90s classic, a team of sneakerheads, countless anime references, a long forgotten VHS, a 7ft in-store robot, limited edition packaging, a blueprint in the basement, the iconic GEL-saga. Let's work together
Art&Graft were approached by FootPatrol and Asics to imagine the campaign for their limited edition launch of the Asics GEL-Saga, a re-release of the classic shoe from 1991.
