Sunshine Animation is an animation studio based in Madrid. The studio is formed by a group of artists with a shared love for 2D animation and video games.

They cover all stages, including everything from video pre-production (character design, storyboard, color script...) to animation, backgrounds, and post-production.

Since the studio's doors first opened in 2014, their work has progressively focused on creating trailers, openings, and cinematics for video games on an international scale. They especially enjoy collaborating with indie games developers and publishers. Since Sunshine is a small studio, their entire team is involved in each project and works hand in hand with the client to shape and develop their ideas.

Neon Blood:
Neon Blood is a science-fiction RPG with adventure elements. Set in a cyberpunk world, the game tells the story of Axel McCoin, a detective who will work against the injustices caused by the differences between the two cities that exist in this dystopic society he lives in. Sunshine made four cinematics for this game by Chaotic Brain Studio and Meridiem Games, adapting the pixel art style from the game and the cyber-punk vibe to the 2D animation.

Lofi_Snowman by Wys (Music Video):
"Lofi Girl" is a French record label and YouTube channel founded in 2015. It offers live streaming of lo-fi hip-hop music complemented by Japanese-style animation featuring a girl studying or relaxing. Despite the studio's usual focus on working with video game developers, they decided to explore new territory by creating a music video for Wys's song "Snowman."

Laika:
“Laika: Aged Through Blood” is a western-themed motorvania set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The story centers around a tribe oppressed by occupying forces, following the personal journey of a mother coyote warrior descending into a spiral of vengeance to reclaim what her people have lost. Sunshine collaborated again with Brainwash Gang, creating cinematics for their latest game. The game's incredible 2D artwork provided a rich source of inspiration for animating the characters and settings.
