12field Animation

"We understand the key difference between animation and objects merely moving on screen."
12field is an independent, Melbourne-based animation studio. Their traditional animation background and collective experience in the industry gives them the edge in creating worlds that are believable, appealing and unique. They specialise in combining traditional skills with the latest technology to create high quality 2D animated content.
Although they still have the old animation discs hanging around the studio, they are always quick to up skill to the latest production techniques and identify the next generation of emerging talent.
Their current projects include the third season of the animated children’s comedy series The Strange Chores, created by Daley Pearson and Charlie Aspinwall (Ludo Studio) for the ABC, and winner of the Toronto Animation Arts International Kids Award 2020, and they have recently completed Season 4 of Little J & Big Cuz (created by Tony Thorne and Ned Lander) for NITV and ABC, which won the Logie for most Outstanding Children’s Program in 2018, and the animated inserts in The Betoota Advocate Presents for Paramount +.
Studio Projects:
Little J & Big Cuz:
Logie award winning show based on the experiences of Little J, he’s five and Big Cuz, she’s nine. They’re a couple of Indigenous Australian kids living with their Nanna and Old Dog. Little J and Big Cuz are busy with the ups and downs of playground and classroom. There’s always something surprising going on whether it’s at school, in the backyard, or beyond.
DOGSTAR - Christmas in Space:
After thousands of years of wars, pollution, undrinkable water and silly cartoon shows, humans are forced to leave Earth and move everything and everyone to a new planet: New Earth. But not everything goes to plan and the Dogstar, a giant space ark containing all of the world’s dogs, becomes lost in space.
The Strange Chores:
Two teenage wannabe heroes and a spirited ghoul team up to learn from the world’s greatest Monster Hunter, Old Man Helsing, by doing his strange, supernatural chores.
