La Madriguera began as a startup at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in 2017. They're located in Valencia, Spain, and specialize in cut-out animation, traditional 2D, and pre-production. They harbor two strong passions: art and movies. They believe that animation is the best way to combine both, freeing up their creativity to tell the stories they want in the way that they desire.

They are always eager to improve themselves and strive to do their best every day to enhance and achieve their goals in any project they undertake. They also have a talented team of artists and supervisors. The well-being of their team is very important to La Madriguera, as they are the essential foundation for successful projects.


Studio Projects:

Koati:
Koatí is a film starring three unlikely heroes: Nachi, a free-spirited coati; Xochi, a daring monarch butterfly; and Pako, a hyperactive frog. Together they embark on an adventure to stop Zaina, an evil snake, from destroying their home. Collaborating with Upstairs, La Madriguera had the honor of working as part of the Animation, Clean-up, Ink&paint, and Tones teams.

The world of Pau (El món de Pau):
For Pau, a 9-year-old boy with Down syndrome, having an extra chromosome allows him to see the world through different eyes; a pure, clean, and crystalline perspective. A very unique perspective that will guide us throughout the series. Pau lives happily with his parents and sister in a neighborhood in the city. He attends a school committed to integration and receives the same classes as his classmates. He's treated like one of the gang.

Black is Beltza:
In 1965, a troop of giants from Pamplona was invited to a parade in New York, but not all were welcome: American authorities rejected the participation of two Black giants, citing discriminatory laws. Based on this true story, "Black is Beltza" tells the story of Manex, the porter in charge of carrying one of the giants. Forced into a long and unexpected journey, Manex will witness key events in history. Together with Hampa Studios, La Madriguera Team had the opportunity to work on this feature film as animators, clean-up artists, and Tones.
