Big Jump Entertainment
"An island of misfit makers"
BIG JUMP Entertainment is a privately owned, independent, 2D hybrid animation production facility that specializes in the seamless combination of traditional and digital techniques.
Big Jump is located in the heart of Canada’s Capital, Ottawa, Ontario. The team thrives on creativity and collaboration, blending the flexibility of remote work with the camaraderie of in-person gatherings and events. They employ a moose and a beaver only because they think some stereotypes are fun and everyone dresses for work in their hockey skates and helmet.
Studio Projects:
Dog and Pony Show:
A series about the chaotic adventures of two very different best friends, Dog and Pony, who choose to leave their magical world of Rainbow Fjörd and move to the not-so-magical big city of UniCity.
Big Blue:
Sibling adventurers Lettie and Lemo lead a quirky submarine crew to unravel the mysterious secrets of an underwater universe. Along with a magical fairy stowaway named Bacon Berry they must explore and protect their vast ocean-covered planet. Created by Gyimah Gariba, a Ghanaian Canadian who was named by Forbes as one of the “15 Young African Creatives Rebranding Africa” in 2015, Big Blue is currently airing on CBC Kids, ICI Radio-Canada Télé and Australia’s ABC Kids.
Red Ketchup:
In the mid-80s, at the end of the Cold War, FBI agent Red Ketchup is assigned the most dangerous missions. The FBI regards him as a liability and sends him to distant lands hoping he will never return, but Ketchup always makes it back.
