Les Affranchis is a 2D animation studio founded in May, 2017 by three producers— anoki (Alwa Deluze and Marie Régis), Melting Productions (Florent Guimberteau) and Xbo films (Luc Camilli)—who have already been working together for many years. Two of these producers have their main offices in Toulouse.

Since its start, the studio has alternated between hosting the projects of the founding production companies and performing with other partners such as Les Films de l'Arlequin, Tripode Productions or Sacrebleu.

Les Astres Immobiles:
Chenghua is 9 years old and needs to prepare for a presentation on outer space with her best friend. She can’t find enough time because she is constantly being interrupted by her parents who need her help as a translator. They don’t speak French and are dependent on their child, no longer aware of how much weight they are putting on her shoulders. Chenghua can’t take it anymore and wants to free herself from the weight of family. Her desire for space and her natural enthusiasm will help her take the necessary step.

Suzanne:
Suzanne is the documentary novel inspired by the life of Suzanne Noël. The film takes place in Paris during the golden era of the Roaring Twenties and retraces real events in the life of its hero, who wanted to exist freely in an society that denied women any free choice. Suzanne Noël is now recognized as a great feminist activist and as a pionneer of plastic surgery. Both at the same time.

Como si la tierra se las hubiera tragado:
Olivia, having lived abroad for years, journeys back to her Mexican hometown, seeking to rediscover her roots and connect with her past. But Olivia thinks to herself " I'm still alive by luck, fortune, fate or chance, because ten women are murdered every day in Mexico".
