IKKI FILMS
"We like to produce films with new universes, diversity, mix of styles."
Ikki Films are driven by international openness, whether through the subjects of their films or the nationality of the directors they work with (Colombia, Mexico, Lithuania, Germany, Japan, etc.). They are always looking to make thrilling, intriguing projects. Whichever the form, fiction, documentary, live, animation, production is, for them, it's a question of story, of images and of people. What drives them is the encounter with new worlds, the blending of genres, diversity. A bold and unique vision of the world.
Their films have received over 1000 festival selections in France and abroad (Locarno, Directors' Fortnight, Berlinale, Annecy, among others) and multiple awards, including two Oscar and Annie Award nominations, a European Film Award in 2022, the César 2023 and 2025 for Best Animated Short Film, the Cristal for Short Film 2024 at Annecy and the Audience Award 2025 at Annecy.
Studio Projects:
Love on the Plan (L’Amour en plan):
After 20 years together, Carine, Fabrice, and their son Simon have a well-ordered daily routine. Carine is confined to housework, while Fabrice spends his time watching television. Each in their own space, their eyes no longer meet.
Amélie and the Metaphysics of Tubes:
Amélie is a little Belgian girl born in Japan. Thanks to her friend Nishio-san, the world is full of adventures and discoveries. But on her third birthday, an event changes the course of her life. Because at that age, everything is at stake for Amélie: happiness as well as tragedy.
Horacio:
Guillaume kills Horacio "because he was shouting too loudly," a tragicomic news item like the ones you sometimes read about in the newspapers. Although absurd, this dramatic act continues to haunt him.
