Slugger Film AB is an independent production company who specializes on Animation in all various formats and techniques.The company was founded in 2004 by Christian Ryltenius and Michael Ekblad. Both partners have a long and distinguished background within the animation industry. They have Directed, Supervised, Produced and Animated on several international Feature films, TV-series and Independent shorts.

Their well-documented work experience in all areas of the Animation industry is unique for the Scandinavian market. Slugger Film has from its start focused on co-productions within the European market and has grown to become one of the leading Animation studios in Scandinavia.

Best Birthday Ever:
Best Birthday Ever tells the story of Little Charlie, a small rabbit who lives with his loving family and pets in a house at the edge of town. Like many five-year olds, Little Charlie goes to a kindergarten and plays with his friends in the neighbourhood. He is used to having his parents’ full attention – but all of that changes when his baby sister Clara is born, leading to an unexpected adventure with his best friend Monica.

Bamse and The Secret of the Sea:
Bamse and the secret of the sea is about being an outsider, about finding a friend. Bamse, Little Hop and Shellman venture out on the open water and far down to the ocean floor. And captain Buster is prepared to do anything to maintain the title of ‘Terror of the Seas’. Nothing can stop him, not even the world’s largest sea creature.

Little Ghost Laban:
”The world’s kindest ghost who is afraid of the dark” is the cohesive sentence explaining what is so appealing with Little Ghost Laban. The books Lasse and Inger Sandberg created in 1956 about Ghost Laban is one of Sweden’s most well-known children’s characters and the picture books have been loved by generations. This new film is laugh comical but also seriously on a child’s perspective when it comes to scary things like the darkness, fantasies about Monsters etcetera. Laban is a ghost for sure but he is also a child, who has to deal with children’s issues, like the demands from parents and disrupting siblings. Hard-nosed and smart Princess Busan has often a leading role in the new film.
