Job Description
Alan Becker Studios is an independent animation studio, best known for its Animator vs. Animation series, with over 7 billion views on YouTube alone. They focus on family friendly entertainment using the most accessible character in animation – the stick figure – and do it all without dialogue or facial expressions.
As a 2D Animator, you will play a key role in bringing Alan Becker’s vision to life through dynamic and compelling animations. You will work closely with the rest of the team to produce high-quality animations using Adobe Animate. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the “Animator vs. Animation” series, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality 2D animations using Adobe Animate based on provided scripts, storyboards, and design specifications.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure animations align with the overall vision and style of the channel.
- Revise and refine animations based on feedback from the team.
- Maintain a high level of consistency and attention to detail in all animation work.
- Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 2D animation with a strong portfolio showcasing work created in Adobe Animate.
- Proficiency in Adobe Animate and other animation tools/software.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, pacing, and character movement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
- Experience with YouTube content creation is a plus.
