Job Description
Sphere are recruiting Harmony FX Animators to collaborate on the seasons 3 & 4 of the 2D animated series Saving Me, in May 2025.
The FX Animator is responsible of animating the effects (smoke, fire, water, etc.) of a 2D series in a traditional way (frame by frame), using Toom Boom Harmony, according to the guidelines provided.
Workplace: Remote
Key responsibilities:
- Design and animate the special effects of the episode, while following the references of the designs and the storyboard provided by the production
- Adjust the special effects based on the feedback from the FX supervisor, director, and client
- Maximize the re-use of special effects when applicable
- Follow the deadlines set by Production and the FX Supervisor
Requirements
- Degree or Certificate in animation, art, multimedia or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience working as an FX artist on a television series
- Strong foundation in 2D traditional animation in Toonboom Harmony
- Good knowledge of technical basis in 2D animation
- Resourceful and collaborative
- Artistic ability, attention to detail
- Mindful of time-management
