Job Description
An Animator is needed to create a 20-minute animated short film based on a written short story. The animation style is preferably 2D and should include full narration of the story, combining strong visual storytelling with voiceover. The goal is to translate the narrative into an engaging, stylistically rich film suitable for personal use. The selected freelancer will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing the animation in a style similar to the provided references. This is a remote role with a flexible delivery window of up to six months and the potential for future collaboration based on the success of this project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 2D animation and storytelling through visual media
- Ability to develop and execute animation aligned with provided reference styles
- Skills in integrating voiceover narration with animated sequences
- Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or equivalent
- Strong creative vision and attention to narrative pacing and tone
- Ability to work independently over a longer project timeline
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Availability to work remotely with periodic progress updates
