Job Description
Pesto Studios, the production company behind chef and social media star Nick DiGiovanni, is looking to hire a talented animator for a new channel that they are launching on YouTube.
Location: This role is entirely virtual. The candidate may be based anywhere.
Who they’re looking for
- A talented and creative 2D Animator to bring the new YouTube channel to life!
- The channel will feature a cartoon chef character cooking various meals and much more in an engaging and entertaining style of content. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting project from the ground up.
- You are passionate about visual storytelling and creating impactful videos. You have a strong understanding of animation and bonus if you have a passion for food! You should be able to recreate something similar to this level of video.
Who you’ll work with
- As an animator, you will work directly with Nick DiGiovanni as well as his team, including his assistant, managers, and other stakeholders, but to start out, you will be solely responsible for the production of this work subject only to review and approvals by these parties.
Requirements
- Proven track record of producing high-quality, visually engaging animated video content that brings character to life with consistent style and flow.
- Generate scripts, conceptualize/design characters, backgrounds, and scenes for end-to-end production of humorous video content for younger audiences.
- Experience with storyboarding and pre-visualization of scenes. Sound design knowledge to enhance the cooking scenes.
- Proficiency in 2D animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar programs.
- Basic knowledge of editing tools like Adobe Premiere or After Effects for compiling the final product.
- Top notch communication skills and ability to collaborate seamlessly within a dynamic team and fast-paced environments and stay on timelines.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with animation trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve the quality of our content.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently upload, organize, and manage video files on various platforms and servers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally with a concentration in fields related to film studies, animation, or video production.
