Job Description
Mariposa Pictures are currently looking for Remote Assistant Animators. The Film will be in the style of the classic Disney features.
Assistant Animators will be responsible for cleaning and assisting with rough animation. Assistant will ensure the characters are completely on point with the turn-around, model sheets and reference shots. Assistant Animators will ensure / enhance performance by original Animation Artists.
- Assistant Animators will follow the timing of the X/sheets and/or the original performance in the full rough and key animation provided, creating final in-betweens, clean lines/ final line weight to ink and paint.
- Assistant Animators are required to meet deadlines.
- Assistant Animators are responsible for INK & PAINT
Requirements
- Must have a strong understanding of classic 2d traditional Disney style animation.
- Must be a skilled character animator comfortable working 24 fps on 1’s and 2’s –we are not using any puppet style animation, tweening or shortcuts, ability to create full fluid animation. We are drawing new full frames on 1’s and 2’s.
- We are primarily interested in Harmony Animators although we are open to reviewing all portfolios and will consider all skilled artists.

- This is a remote position, and artists will be paid upon competition of 30 seconds.
