Studio Projects:
-JoJo & Gran Gran:
JoJo & Gran Gran follows a five year-old girl and her fun and wise grandmother. They live close by to one another in a bustling London neighbourhood and Gran Gran always has something planned to do when JoJo comes to visit.Throughout the series, the stories are inspired by the passing of time, covering topics such as life cycles, the passing of the seasons, growth or the sequencing involved in activities like baking a cake or catching a bus. The series won the Broadcast Award for Best Pre-School Programme.
-The Monster at the End of this Story (Sesame Street):
A reimagining of Sesame Street’s all-time best-selling picture book “The Monster at the End of This Book,” the special follows Grover’s reluctant journey to the end of the story, where, based on the title, he believes a monster awaits. The special adds new sequences, songs and surprises, and introduces other familiar Sesame Street characters, including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Rosita, to the tale. The animation was created in Adobe Animate with additional effects and compositing in Adobe After Effects. A Productions shared animation duties with a team at Sesame Workshop. It was composited and edited in our Bristol studio with post production and sound handled by Films@59. The production was made particularly challenging as the UK and USA both went into lockdown for Covid.
-Frankenstein’s Cat:
Animated using A Productions own bespoke digital 2D pipeline. With compositing handled in AFX. 40 weeks in house at A Productions and at Kayanta Studios in Paris. Working with McKinnon & Saunders on an original concept by Curtis Jobling, with animation teams in Bristol and Paris A Productions implanted a successful production pipeline to deliver this award winning show. Winner of the Pulcinella award. Winner of The BAF award.
