Meet Bellzon, an award-winning boutique animation and illustration studio known for its beautiful storytelling. a boutique animation and illustration. The studio is based in Hamilton, Ontario. The studio was brought up by Matthew and Nadine, the duo behind Bellzon.

They believe imagination is the ultimate problem-solver, empathy-builder, human-connector and innovation-leader. They work with a small team of top-notch illustrators, animators, compositors and sound designers to bring their hand-crafted stories to life. And they’re always eager to partner with agencies, brands, and creative collaborators who, like them, still believe in magic.


Studio Projects:

The Tiger at the Zoo:
A tiger-obsessed little boy goes to the zoo on a class field trip, only to discover that the tiger is off exhibit. His imagination soon transforms his disappointing day into an unforgettable one — for everyone.The Tiger at the Zoo is an ode to childhood imagination that acknowledges the disappointments — and celebrates the ultimate triumphs — of being yourself, no matter what.

TFO - Idéllo:
The wise old wind takes us on a journey for TFO Idéllo. This project was a joy for the studio to work on. It was a great collaborative piece produced by IAMSTATIC and directed by Bellzon Studio. And in the years since completing it, they’ve come to appreciate how much it influenced the evolution of their design and storytelling approach. From the early design stages to the cinematic storytelling to the animation itself, this was one of those perfect fits.

The Glorious Sons - A War On Everything:
When Black Box Music and The Glorious Sons reached out to them to animate the title track of their (then) new album, “A War on Everything,” they immediately jumped at the opportunity. After a briefing call about the song, its themes, and its initial inspiration, the band and label gave them the creative freedom to develop the story and concept: What is it like to have someone weigh you down? When is it time to leave it all behind?
