GAO SHAN PICTURES is a French production company and animation studio , founded in 2014 in Réunion by Arnauld Boulard.

Driven by a demanding, tailor-made and innovative artistic approach, Gao Shan Pictures has built a distinctive signature, acclaimed in the biggest international festivals — from Annecy to the Oscars, via Cannes and the César.

They control the entire production chain, from the creation of original concepts to the production of 2D and 3D animation. Their multi-site network, with branches in Reunion Island, Angoulême, Annecy and Mauritius, gives them access to a pool of recognized talent and strengthens their agility and production capacity to meet the challenges of each project.

Lucy Lost:
Despite her family's affection, Lucy feels like an outsider among her own people. Her extraordinary gifts and unusual white hair arouse suspicion and hostility among the villagers. In Waves:
AJ, a shy teenager, meets Kristen while they're in high school in Los Angeles. Passionate about surfing, Kristen is the most incredible person he's ever met. He falls madly in love with her. While life seems to be taking off for AJ, Kristen's is turned upside down by illness. Together, they will have to fight adversity, helped by their now shared passion for surfing and the ocean, and by their group of friends. When love and friendship form a wave stronger than anything.

Miss Tang's Forest:
This film paints a picture of a Teochew family over six generations in Swatow, China, from the 19th century to the present day, against the backdrop of China's major upheavals and the temptation of migration.
