Gigglebug Entertainment is the leading creator and producer of original kids content in the Nordics. Founded and managed by Executive Producer Anttu Harlin and Creative Director Joonas Utti, The company develops and produces original content and co-productions and provides animation as a service, including TV-series, games, shorts, gifs, & digital micro content. Its original IP’s have been licensed to books, music, live events, messaging and other consumer products. The company stands for Nordic playfulness. An attitude - taking Nordic honesty, equality, creativity and high quality, and squeezing it all into the most constructive kids content on the planet.

Christmas Comes to Moominvalley:
This has been Gigglebug’s first quest into feature film quality animation production! The results are absolutely beautiful and they are proud of this 8 minute film which premiered in December 2022 across the Nordics, as part of “The Nordic Christmas Hour”, with six other animated short films based on the works of famous Nordic storytellers. Never before have the Moomin Characters been rendered in this style, in high quality 2D with light and shadow and painterly texture. The directorial vision of Jean Michel and Kari brought out something that they hope will last for decades as part of the Holiday Programming in the Nordics.

Last Kids on Earth -Survival Guide:
Last Kids on Earth is a Netflix Original animated series based on the best selling children’s novels by author Max Brallier. The series follows 13-year-old Jack Sullivan and a band of suburban middle schoolers who live in a decked-out tree house, play video games, and battle zombies in the aftermath of the monster apocalypse.The series has been developed and brought to life by the fantastic team at Atomic Cartoons. Gigglebug teamed up with Atomic Cartoons to animate the Last Kids on Earth shorts a.k.a. The Apocalyptic Survival Guide”.

Merry Little Batman:
Gigglebug are incredibly proud to have been selected as the lead vendor by Warner Bros. Animation to develop and realise the animation for Merry Little Batman. For them, the journey began with a couple test sequences to translate the stand-out-designs by Guillaume Fesquet into movement. “YES!!! This is what we had imagined the film to look like” was the response and it was off to the races! It’s not every day that you get to work with director talent like Mike Roth or do frame by frame hand-drawn animation for a classic DC superhero – and they have given their love to every minute of it!
