Guru Studio is a creative-driven entertainment company renowned for creating, developing and producing award-winning hit shows that captivate and inspire kids and families all over the world.

For over twenty years, the studio has brought to life some of the most recognizable and beloved children’s properties in the world including the smash hit PAW Patrol, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Pikwik Pack, Big Blue, Justin Time, Ever After High and most recently Mecha Builders, the Sesame Street animated spin-off. Guru studio was also a major contributor to the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner.

Studio Projects:

-The Breadwinner:
Based on the award-winning novel by Deborah Ellis, The Breadwinner is a timely and inspiring story of self-empowerment and imagination in the face of oppression. Produced in collaboration with Cartoon Saloon, Aircraft Pictures, and Melusine Productions, the film was Guru's first animated feature and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Picture and won an Annie Award for Best Independent Animated Feature.


-SPACE BETWEEN STARS:
Space Between Stars is an award-winning short film which follows a group of ethereal creatures exploring a derelict space station. The film is the first to come out of Guru Studio's short film program. The 10 minute science fiction fable has won multiple awards and has been screened at over 30 film festivals around the world.


-Big Blue:
Sibling adventurers Lettie and Lemo lead a quirky submarine crew to unravel the mysterious secrets of an underwater universe. Along with a magical fairy stowaway named Bacon Berry they must explore and protect their vast ocean-covered planet.

Created by Gyimah Gariba, a Ghanaian Canadian who was named by Forbes as one of the “15 Young African Creatives Rebranding Africa” in 2015, Big Blue was comissioned by CBC Kids in Canada and is now airing around the world.
