A “cabane” is a place where stories are imagined and told.

Paris-based La Cabane is an animation production company and creative studio created in 2015 by Perrine Gauthier, together with her partners Joeri Christiaen, Frederik Segers and Emmanuel Garijo. They started building La Cabane, as a place where they enjoy bringing characters and stories to life.

They develop, finance and produce animated content for film, TV and streaming platforms, with a focus placed on storytelling, look development and music.

In 2020 the company was nominated for the French TV Producer Of The Year Award. La Cabane is the producer of the International Emmy-nominated series Mush-Mush & the Mushables created by Elfriede de Rooster and directed by Joeri Christiaen. The show is currenly airing in +150 countries— including on WarnerMedia’s channels around the world (Cartoon Network / Boomerang / HBO Max), Canal+ and Piwi+ in France, VRT-Ketnet and RTBF in Belgium, Tiny POP in the UK, RTS in Switzerland, RTL Telekids in the Netherlands, Disney Channel in Germany, Mango in China, etc. The second season is currently in production and will be completed at the end of 2023.

In 2022 La Cabane coproduced the short film Luce and the Rock, by Britt Raes. The film has already been selected for more than 180 festivals (Annecy, GIFF, BIAF, Clermont, New York International Children’s Festival, etc.) and won several awards around the world, including a Special Mention at the Berlinale and prizes at Ottawa, Go Short and Anima.

-Emma Makes Waves:
Emma Makes Waves follows the exciting summer adventures of 10-year-old Emma as she visits her grandparents on the volcanic island of Pantelleria, which she left when she was little. From these roots, Emma has developed the ability to communicate with the Acquaspirits, the extraordinary creatures that also inhabit this amazing island

-Luce in the Lovely Land:
This series of colorful and quirky tales features Luce, a curious and daring 6-year-old who, every morning, opens her little bedroom window to see what’s happening in the Lovely Land. Every day is a new adventure Luce shares with her best friend, a giant Rock! Together, they explore the unexpected, meet surprising creatures and discover other points of view.

-Luce and the Rock (Short film):
LUCE AND THE ROCK is the story of two friends who, although they seem to have nothing in common, end up facing their fear of the unknown together. Luce lives a happy life in a peaceful little village, together with Mom and the Villagers. Every day is the same, and that’s the way everyone likes it. The only thing that scares Luce is the dark – but luckily her little light sticks keep her safe! One day a giant Rock Creature disturbs the quiet life in the village. But the Rock might have more in common with Luce than she first thought…
