The SINNEMA Animation Studio was founded after a long lasting cooperation with the sinnwerkstatt Media-Agency sinnwerkstatt Corporation. Based on that history the SINNEMA Animation Studio combines craftsmanship with a strong emphasis on team work.

The SINNEMA Animation Studio strikes new paths: Not only do they look into actual and new animation techniques for each single project but they also contribute with emotional storytelling and focus on the effects of their animated projects.

They are aware of their responsibility towards such effects and they do not want to abuse their knowledge in terms of negative or suggestive manipulation of the viewers. On top of that they try to work against stereotypical characters and storytelling and instead create innovative worlds who inspire to widen an horizon and hence catch attention.


Studio Projects:

Water doesn’t flow out of the rooster:
Sinnema Animation Studio collaborated with Rebmann+Poguntke to produce three short, animated commercials for Berliner Water supplier. The commercials aim to draw attention to excessive water consumption and how to reduce it, using the motto ‘Water doesn’t come out of the tap’. The word ‘tap’ in german can also mean ‘rooster’, and so our main character – The rooster, was born!

Cosmoliner - Changing You (Music Video):
The Berlin band Cosmoliner creates groovy space-pop music. Sinnema Animation Studio created a visual world for the songs “Changing You” and “Secrets”, immersing the listener in unknown universes, colorful animations and crazy characters.

Passability:
In the waters of Brandenburg there is a hidden world, the world of the burbot. Sinnema, in collaboration with the media agency – Sinnwerkstatt and the Brandenburg State Office for the Environment, has brought this world to life through a mix of frame by frame and cut out, 2D rigged animation. In this explainer video we meet Lotta, who takes us on a journey through the waters of Brandenburg, showing us where she comes from, how she lives, and where she returns to give birth to her offspring.
