Sixteen South Studios

"Impatiently Believing in More"

Sixteen South Studios is a multi-award winning 2D animation studios and production company. Founded in 2007, Sixteen South has grown from an idea in the head of our founder and Creative Director, Colin Williams to a group that currently employs over 100 brilliantly talented people and a solid management team in downtown Belfast.

Their passionate and highly creative teams of designers, animators, directors and producers have many decades of network experience, many of whom have relocated from countries all over the world to make their home with them. Since 2007, they have produced 463 episodes of 11 hit kids shows and their work has been honoured with more than 50 international awards. As well as producing 2D and live action series for Sixteen South Originals, they’ve also co-produced with partners including The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, GBH, Kindle Entertainment and the BBC

Studio Projects:

Odo:
Odo is a little owl with big ideas. The Forest Camp for Young Birds is a wonderful leafy playground where birds of all shapes and sizes can play games, learn skills, and have fun side-by-side with the most amazingly diverse group of feathered creatures – silly chickens, cheeky toucans, harmonious canaries, a vain peacock, and many others.

Claude:
Claude is a small, very helpful dog who wears smart shoes, a dashing jumper and a rather nifty beret. His best pal in the whole world is Sir Bobblysock (who is both a sock and quite bobbly) and he’s the star of this 2D animated series.

Lily’s Driftwood Bay :
Lily’s Driftwood Bay is a preschool mixed-media animated show about Lily, a five year old who lives in a beach hut on the shore with her Dad. Every day, the sea washes up a curious new treasure, which sparks Lily’s imagination about what might be happening across the way on Driftwood Bay. And so, with her best friend Gull - the clever seagull, an adventure begins as they head off to Driftwood Bay. Lily’s Driftwood Bay’s unique design features characters, sets and landscapes that have been completely created from things that have been found washed up on the beach.
