Special Touch Studios is a French production company whose ambition is to renew the imagination by proposing other views on the world. Their desire for original stories, new voices, new visions; guide them to make stories that are more representative of society in all its diversity.

Their an editorial line focused on Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East and the Urban Cultures and the emergence of talents carrying strong stories with a universal dimension.


Studio Projects:

The Island:
Discover a musical fable on the Robinson Crusoe myth: The Little Prince meets Monty Python. Robinson is a doctor and his solitude is voluntary in an island invaded by migrants, NGOs and guards. He saves Friday, a castaway, the only survivor of his illegal refugee boat. During his journey on the island, Robinson encounters extraordinary beings and events. He will confront current affairs through visual poetry and symbolism in a world where everybody looks for its own paradise.

The Forest of Miss Tang:
To leave or to stay? Director Denis Do takes us on an existential quest through the generations of a single family, shaken by 200 years of history in China. A deeply humanistic family chronicle.

Funan:
In 1975, the Khmer Rouge topple the government and the family is forcibly evacuated from the city by the revolutionaries. Along the grueling trip, Sovanh and his grandmother become separated from the family, and the Khmer Rouge guards forbid Chou from trying to find them.
