About the Project
Granite Waves is a vertical animated series made for mobile, bringing a mysterious fantasy/sci-fi world and memorable characters to fans in a unique format. They’re creating something new mixing great storytelling, beautiful visuals, smooth animation, and the energy of vertical video platforms like TikTok.

What You’ll Do
- Animate 2D scenes based on detailed storyboards, keyframes, and scripts
- Work primarily in the established visual style of Granite Waves, but adapt to new styles if needed
- Collaborate closely with the team (producer: Tezeze, other animators, editor, VAs)
- Deliver polished, mobile-optimized animation scenes
- Take part in team feedback sessions and iterate on animation as needed
Compensation
It’s an indie production, but for the right candidates who can match the Granite Waves style and speed, will try to get as close to your expectations as they can!

Requirements
- Strong experience in 2D animation (portfolio required)
- Solid drawing skills; able to match and adapt to an existing style
- 3D animation skills are a plus, but not required
- Comfortable working from storyboards, keyframe refs, and scripts
- Experience with animation tools such as Toon Boom, TVPaint, Spine, or similar (let us know what you use!)
- Able to meet deadlines and work in a collaborative, feedback-driven team
- Open to feedback and willing to iterate to make each scene shine
- Bonus Points: Experience with vertical/mobile-first formats
- Bonus Points:Previous work on animated series or mobile content
- Bonus Points: Interest in fantasy, anime, or storytelling-driven projects
