GENERAL NOTES:

They are looking for 2d  frame-by–frame animators that can bring the project to life sooner! This show has a western-anime style to it so just be prepared for that. This episode in particular will be around 20 minutes in length. There will be soft deadlines for the project. You will be given more time, if needed. The project is on an indie budget so please treat this as a side gig and not a main job.

It will be animated in 24 fps in 2560 x 1440 resolution.

SOFTWARE:

  • Rough Animators:

Any software as long as it can export image sequence or a movie of any length.

  • Clean-up Artists:

Toon Boom or CLIP STUDIO

VOLUNTEER:

You are very much welcome to have volunteers for the pilot! It’s going at a slow pace and would definitely love to have some extra hands to bring the episode to completion! However, the choice to be it is COMPLETELY in your hands. This would be a nice experience regardless. The team thanks you in advance if you are considering being a volunteer!

PAYMENT:

They will be using PayPal for payments. The base pay will be $5 per second of rough/ clean up animation. The pay also depends on how complicated the animations for a shot/ scene is.

DEADLINE:

The deadline for this round of application is 26th July 2025. Due to very limited positions (and time), they are keeping it short. If the demand is high enough, they can extend the deadline for a few more days.

If you get chosen for the position, you will receive an email to confirm your positions and a link to the studio’s discord if you accept it.

If you get rejected for the position, you can always apply the next time they are hiring! It doesn’t mean that you are bad. It’s probably because the positions are full or they’re not looking for that position. Don’t get discouraged!

Requirements

  • At least a decent amount of animation experience.
  • Able to submit assignments on time.
  • Will be able to communicate and give updates.
  • Must have a Discord since they'll be using that as their primary communication method.
  • Rough Animators: Should be on model to the character sheet, animate mainly on 3’s, and must be able to animate dynamic movements.
  • Clean-up Animators: Should be on model to the character sheet if the characters go off model, and be as efficient as possible. The project will be using custom brushes in Toon Boom or CLIP STUDIO.
