Job Description:
They’re are looking to bring on a dedicated 2D Action Animator for one episode of their award-winning adult animated series, BRUTUS.
This is a remote, paid, contract position, open to animators worldwide who specialize in dynamic, anime-inspired action sequences.
About the Role:
They’re seeking an animator who can bring intensity, fluidity, and expression to stylized action scenes in a 25-minute episode (with around eight-to-ten minutes of action scenes). They’re especially drawn to rough, chaotic motion styles inspired by Studio Saru, Teoi Animation, and high-energy sequences found in modern anime.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of rhythm, exaggeration, and motion in action choreography. All character designs and 3D backgrounds will be provided, and the style will build off our existing pilot, with room for personal flair and experimentation.
Rate:
$350–$500 per finished minute of action animation (based on experience, scope, and complexity).

Requirements
- Strong portfolio showcasing action scenes (not just general animation)
- Experience with rough animation, timing, and impact
- Good communication and easy to collaborate with
- Willingness to do a brief paid test scene to ensure compatibility with the show’s style and team
- Able to work within deadlines and take feedback well
- Comfortable with a hybrid production process (3D backgrounds + 2D animation)
