Job Description
Voidpet are seeking a skilled 2D Animator who is equally comfortable storyboarding and animating short-form content. You’ll work closely with their creative team to develop fun, visually dynamic videos featuring Voidpet characters, story moments, and special events.
What You’ll Do
- Create storyboards for short (5–45 second) Voidpet videos that clearly map out shots, timing, and gags.
- Animate Voidpet characters and scenes into polished, TikTok-ready videos, using existing game assets or simple new ones to enhance storytelling.
- Track and interpret TikTok trends, memes, and sounds, and translate them into storyboarded Voidpet concepts.
- Prioritize animations designed for shareability and viral potential while collaborating with their creative team on scripts, concepts, and visual storytelling.
- Contribute original ideas to help Voidpet stand out in the TikTok gaming/entertainment space.
Requirements
- Bonus: Experience working with characters or IP in gaming, anime, or fandom-driven communities.
- Proven experience in both 2D animation and storyboarding.
- Proficiency with softwares like Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, Toon Boom, After Effects, or equivalents.
- Strong sense of comedic timing, visual clarity, and pacing for short-form content.
- Familiarity with TikTok trends and best practices for hooking viewers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take a concept from script → storyboard → final animation.
