Deaconi Studios is looking for animators to join the team!
What is Straybirds?
It’s the story of a foreigner miles from home, trying to find his footing in a delinquent school. The story of an enthusiastic Student Guide taking the world by storm. A story of a bunch of punks making music from dusk till dawn. It’s about students trying to uphold order in a chaotic place. It’s a story about youth and what it means to live a meaningful life.
The everyday life of the Straybirds is full of chaotic stories. From mundane high school life and bizarre break-time conversations to heartfelt moments between students. Deaconi want to bring those moments to life through animatics/animations – and they need your help in achieving that!
They are looking for animators who can closely match the artstyle.
Depending on how many animators join, they will discuss payment procedures/models privately to ensure a healthy and fair collaboration. Please note that they are a self-funded studio, and thus animation work will be commissioned on a project-by-project basis. You will not be full-time employed and have no obligation to involve yourself beyond what is agreed.
On the application form, you will find a general character sheet of one of thier main characters, to give you an idea of what the style looks like.

Some information:
- In the application form under the section “Portfolio”, please provide links showcasing your specific animation/character design works. If you do not provide links, your application will be dismissed.
- All animators will be required to sign a simple License Agreement/Contract (after joining)
- You must be over the age of 18 to apply.
