JR Entertainment are hiring three character animatic artists/assistants! You will report directly to the team’s Art Director and work on animations for an upcoming indie animated series.
About the Team: They are a new US-based indie animation studio in series development and are looking to add three animators to thier team. No genAI; they are a human-first animation studio.
Animation style: 2D hand drawn lineart character animatics. Heavy emphasis on expressive and dynamic movement and ability to communicate complex emotion through facial expression. Must have the ability to adapt to house style. House style is an approximate combination of Studio Trigger and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Animatics 30s – 5min. Variable deadlines.
- Project scope: 6 weeks initial term, renewable contract. Full time.
- Start Date: Immediately (Feb 2026)
- Rate: $20 – $40 USD / hour, experience dependent.
- Location: Remote.

Requirements
- Demo Reel showing off your skills.
- Able to animate a combination of the Studio Trigger and Avatar: The Last Airbender style.
- Capable of animating expressive and dynamic movement, and complex facial expressions.
