Job Description
S-Video are seeking a freelance 2D hand-drawn animator for an independent historical documentary currently in production. This is a paid engagement with multiple scenes available for the right collaborator.
Each scene is approximately 15 seconds and features two characters in a 1960s historical setting. Scenes consist of roughly 8 shots of posing and action cycles only. No dialogue, audio or lip sync is required. All animation will be delivered on green screen; no backgrounds, sets, or props needed. Characters will loosely reference real people based on provided photos, but exact likeness won’t be required.
- Style: Hand-drawn look that leans realistic rather than cartoonish (think Daniel Clowes).
- Pay: $300-$350 per 15-second scene. Four scenes available ($1,200-$1,400 total), with potential for additional scenes. Please note that this is an indie documentary with a modest budget.
Note: AI-generated imagery is NOT acceptable.
Any standard professional workflow is welcome (Toon Boom, TVPaint, Procreate, etc.).
