Job Description
Creative Collective Studio are a small studio, passionate about storytelling and bringing characters to life through visually captivating mediums. Their current focus is on developing a comic book series with dynamic, animated elements for digital platforms, and they’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic 2D Animator intern to join their team!
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing animation files for digital publication or marketing purposes.
- Animate comic book panels using 2D animation techniques (e.g., subtle character motions, environmental effects, action sequences).
- Collaborate with illustrators and writers to enhance storytelling with animated elements.
- Create smooth and visually compelling transitions between comic panels for digital viewing.
- Design special effects, such as glowing text, moving backgrounds, or weather effects.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and provide input to enhance animation workflows.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Animation, Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficient in 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects, or similar tools).
- Basic knowledge of digital illustration tools (e.g., Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint) is a plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing 2D animation skills, with an emphasis on character movement, effects, and storytelling.
- Understanding of timing, weight, and dynamics in animation.
- Passion for comics, storytelling, and animated content.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with comic book art styles and formats.
- Preferred Skills: Interest in motion comics or animation-integrated storytelling.
- Preferred Skills: Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment.
