Storyboard/Creative Direction Position for Youtube Channel- Historically

Job Description

A YouTube channel with 1 000 000 subscribers  [Historically] are looking for a storyboard artist!

Please note that this isn’t an average storyboard artist job;

In the usual storyboard role you visualize the ideation of the script in rough assets. E.g you show that something explodes and a guy flies away. Historically does things a bit differently. A storyboard artist at Historically act’s essentially as a second creative director. Together with Youri you will be not only visualizing the scenes, but also specifying exactly which asset needs to be made.

Responsibilities:

• Clearly explained what the actions of the scenes are
• Clearly explained expressions
• Clearly explained each asset (bed, cross, broken bed,etc.)
• Everything named correctly
• Designs added (if pre-made grabbed from the Designs folder and attached, if not pre-made a ref image)
• Reference image for the room background if the location is new, with minor POI details added (ref image)
• Went beyond to improve the scene (Parallax item in foreground to add depth to scene) 
• Improvement point could be the angle and camera direction of the scene, it’s quite flat. 

NOTE: Body compositions don’t need to be too accurate, as they have someone to refine it afterwards.

With the scene done, it can be sent over to the rest in the team. As they work in a strict pipeline production, it’s important to have given them a clear, funny and creative storyboard within the daily time frame of 12 scenes (PSDs) per day (Sun dayoff).

They are looking for someone deep in pop and meme culture, experienced in History and has a clear understanding of Youtube. Please see more requirements below.

Pay is $750 USD per video, and they do a video each 2 weeks (sometimes 3 weeks depending on revisions)

Skills & Requirements

1. Fast, efficient and motivated worker
2. Age 18-30
3. Fluent in English
4. Able to attend weekly meetings
5. A good understanding of Historically and history
6. A good understanding of pop culture and meme culture (silksong, breaking bad, deltarune, yakuza, clash royale, etc etc etc)
7. Able to full fill the daily quota(!)
8. Can take criticism and open to improve and adapt to the team’s need
9. Experienced in Photoshop (.PSD format to be exported)
10. Understanding of perspective points, camera directing
11. Knows how to add with visual storyboarding, not to be “on the nose”
12. Able to stick to the brand identity, yet add to it
13. Creative mastermind
14. Willing and able to stick with the team and grow with them for years to come

Can’t stress this enough, they’re looking for top performers looking to elevate them to 10M subscribers, this is a tough job!
