Edward Kurchevsky
About the mentor
Edward Kurchevsky is a director and 2D animator who has been working in the industry for over 10 years. During this time, he took part in the creation of many animation projects, having behind him serious training in the form of two higher educations in the field of animation, which he received in Poland and France. In 2018, thanks to his talent, he became one of the winners of the Disney Art Challenge. Edward is currently a freelancer on feature-length and short-length projects in Europe.
“One of the most important steps in the world of professional animation for me was the series PRIMAL (Season 2). After 2 years, I rethought the experience I received many times. It was a powerful push into the industry,” Edward admits on his social network page.
Edward prefers to work in traditional 2D animation, storyboarding and directing short films. Since 2017, he has been a speaker and organizer of large master classes, both at school and outside of it. And also the creator and one of the teachers of the largest direction of AnimationClub School in traditional 2D animation.
